The Windmill Primary Federation

Welcome to

The Windmill Federation

We are a Federation of four fantastic schools in the Norfolk fenland area – West Walton, Tilney St Lawrence, Walpole Highway and Terrington St John. Our schools are at the heart of their own village communities, with their own ethos and values, but also work closely together within our Federation.

Headteacher’s Welcome

Welcome to the Windmill Primary Federation. We are delighted that you are taking the time to explore our website and discover what makes our schools such special places to learn and grow.

Our schools are set within semi-rural locations, surrounded by spacious green environments that provide a calm and nurturing backdrop for learning. We believe that every child deserves to feel safe, happy and valued, and we are committed to fostering independence, kindness and a love of learning in all our pupils.

Each school within our federation has its own unique character, yet they are united by a strong sense of community and a welcoming, family atmosphere. With a shared curriculum, dedicated staff, an active PTA and the support of a committed governing body, we work together to create the best possible opportunities for every child.

While this website offers a glimpse into the life of our schools, nothing compares to experiencing it first-hand. Our children are the true ambassadors of what we stand for and we warmly encourage you to arrange a visit to see our schools in action. Please contact the school office to make an appointment – we would be delighted to welcome you.

We look forward to meeting you and sharing all that our schools can offer your child.

Craig Jansen – Executive Headteacher at West Walton
Emma Hunt – Acting Executive Headteacher at Terrington St John, Tilney St Lawrence and Walpole Highway
